Half Day Barron River Rafting

Details

The Barron River is perfect for anyone who has never tried White Water Rafting or those looking for an afternoon of fun and excitement. Your guide will take you on an eco-adventure through the Barron Gorge National Park aboard your inflatable raft, tackling grade 2 and 3 rapids including the infamous Rooster Tail where an action photo will be taken.

 

Rafting is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant.

Minimum age: 12 years old

 

Itinerary

Day 1 : Barron River White Water Rafting
Cairns pickups commence approximately 1:45pm - Approx. 20 minute drive from the city to the Barron River and up the Barron Gorge Valley to the Top Of the River - Gear-up with life jackets, helmets and paddles - Your guides will provide a safety briefing. Raft from just below Barron River Power Station down a series of grade 2 and 3 rapids - From the last rapid there is a short paddle along Lake Placid to the take out point. Change into your dry clothes before heading back to your hotel. Your action photos are available to view and order whilst on board the bus. Return to Cairns approx. 6.00pm
