Save time when you combine the Hobbiton Movie Set private tour and the Waitomo Caves private tour into one.
The combination tour starts with a pick-up from any location in Auckland’s downtown, followed by a trip to Movie Set, where you’ll board a Hobbiton bus to travel to the village. Your tour guide will show you around the movie set while discussing how it was constructed and imparting interesting facts you never knew.
You will have the opportunity to visit one of the Hobbit Holes, see The Mill and The Double Arched Bridge, and enjoy an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage at The Green Dragon Inn followed by lunch.
After you’ve finished your Middle Earth tour, we’ll drive you to the Waitomo Glowworm Cave, where you may take a boat ride in the cave’s Waitomo River and enjoy a one-hour guided tour of the famous Waitomo Caves. After seeing the stunning glowing worms we return to Auckland’s central business district.
