With the choice of three daily departures this cruise is perfect for a half or full day experience. Your Green Island Eco Adventures includes the choice of a glass bottom boat coral viewing tour or snorkelling equipment to snorkel directly from the white sandy beaches.

Discover some of the island’s unique rainforest flora with a self-guided eco island walk or just relax by the island swimming pool (exclusive for Great Adventures guests). Do as much or as little as you please on this island paradise!

The island’s well-appointed day visitor facilities include a pool bar and restaurant and food outlets where you can purchase lunch and snacks.

 


Itinerary

Day 1 : Green Island Eco Adventure - Choice of Snorkel Equipment or Glass Bottom Boat
With the choice of two daily departures from Cairns, the Green Island Eco Adventure offers an affordable island reef and rainforest experience. Spend the whole day, up to 7 hours island time, or if you're short on time, the half day trip is perfect for you. You’ll have the choice of a glass bottom boat coral viewing tour or snorkelling equipment to experience this tropical Great Barrier Reef island. Lunch and snacks can be purchased from the island's delicious food and refreshment outlets.

Pickups / Departures

Daily departures from Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, Spence Street Cairns. Boarding commences 30 minutes prior to depature time. Transfers between Cairns and Green Island take approximately 45 minutes subject to weather conditions.
Cairns to Green Island: 8:30am or 10:30am

Green Island to Cairns: 2:30pm or 4:30pm

Please check-in at the Great Adventures counter inside the Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence Street, to obtain your boarding pass.


Extras

EMC: A Government Environmental Management Charge (EMC) applies to all adults and children 4 years and over entering the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage area. If applicable, this charge is included in the tour price.

Surcharge: Due to potential significant volatility in supply and operational costs a surcharge may be applied due to unforseen circumstances. In such cases any charge will be collected on departure.

Optional Activities:  In addition to your cruise fare, exciting optional activities include: Introductory scuba diving, Certified Scuba Diving, Snorkel boat trips, Seawalker Helmet Diving, Beach Hire: Canoeing, windsurfing, beach volleyball and Scenic helicopter flights.
