Itinerary

Day 1 : Yarra Valley Sunrise Hot Air Ballooning
The entire experience lasts 4-5 hours in total so usually completed between 9-10am. For those getting transferred back into the city, they will be back between 10-11am. •Night before your flight (6pm) : Check the flight information (weather update and meeting time) by downloading our app •1.5 hours before sunrise (time confirmed night before) : Meet pilots and crew at designated time and venue; Global Ballooning Australia will drive all passengers to launch site •Launch : Passengers can assist with the set up/ inflation of the balloon •Sunrise : Fly for approximately 1 hour •Land : Passengers can assist to pack up the balloon •Breakfast : Global Ballooning Australia drive all passengers back at Balgownie Estate which is where breakfast is held (breakfast is optional).

Pickups / Departures

  • Departs an hour and a half before sunrise (approximately 4-4.30am in summer, 5-5.30am in autumn/spring and 6-6.30am in winter)
  • Optional return transfers from 1 pickup point in the city - Pullman Melbourne on the Park hotel - 192 Wellington Parade, East Melbourne (as long as breakfast is included)
  • If passengers are making their own way to the Yarra Valley before the flight, the meeting place is Balgownie Estate

 

  • YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THE GLOBAL BALLOONING APP TO RECEIVE YOUR FLIGHT STATUS UPDATE THE NIGHT BEFORE.
